Dump - A cover of Prince’s “1999” you’ll love
I was recently turned onto That Skinny Mother Fucker With The High Voice which was released in 2001. It’s a solo project from James McNew the bassist from one of my favorite bands Yo La Tango. I haven’t been able to stop listening to the entire album but his cover of “1999” is pretty brilliant. The music is pretty down tempo and mellow and is definitely a great twist to Prince’s flamboyant and extravagant style.
